A match on paper but Moorhouse Lad should beat Brandywell Boy in what looks to be a match. Moorhouse Lad had future winner written all over him when finishing third at Haydock Park in a decent maiden and he can gain compensation. The fact that he was so well backed against horses of proven ability was a positive and in fairness, he travelled well for a long way in that race. Brandywell Boy finished third in the Super Sprint at Newbury at long odds and should not be far away here. Unlike the Super Sprint, there is likely to be a modest pace and tactics may be the undoing of the likely favourite here. Andorran was unfancied on debut in a Catterick maiden and could be one to progress in time. Intigold has ran a few creditable races in defeat but is beginning to look exposed. Collette's Choice hails from a yard in form but her starts have let her down twice already this term. The bookies should be going for two of them versus the field and we will chance that Moorhouse Lad can find the necessary improvement this afternoon.
