        Verdict

        Avoncreek gained his only success back in 2008 but has the services of Serena Brotherton for whom he has gone well in the past. A career record of 1-49 speaks for itself but he has definite claims on some respectable efforts this term. Fathey also has claims on his Nottingham dead-heat win in May but has shown nothing since and the three-year-old COOL IN THE SHADE makes more appeal and can gain a first career success. The filly has a run of decent efforts to her name this term, handles all ground and looks acceptably treated off an unchanged mark. She showed good early pace here latest and is one of the more reliable options in a moderate contest. Ubenkor has ability but usually saves it for Southwell.
