Verdict

FACE THE PROBLEM impressed with a sterling effort to win a York nursery a week ago and may have too much in the locker for Orchid Street and Melodize. The last named showed improved form to score at Warwick last time out - doing his best work near the finish to claim a deserved success. This is a touch harder but, he is going the right way so merits consideration as one capable of rising to the challenge. Orchid Street has a bit to find on a literal reading of the evidence available. However, she will be suited by the conditions and, as she is getting 12lbs from the selection, Ann Duffield's filly can make a good fist of things. However, Face The Problem still has some fancy entries for later in the season and he is a strong fancy to breeze through this latest examination - especially if he is going to make a return to the Knavesmire for a crack at the Gimcrack next month.
