In depth

Verdict

LISTEN DEAR, a Grade 3 winner over hurdles, made a very impressive start over fences with an easy victory at Ballinrobe. She looks like taking high-rank amongst novice chasers and should have few problems completing a five-timer. Monbeg Rose ran in high-class company over timber and though she performed moderately on her chasing debut at Tramore in August she will have improved for the experience and a run over timber on Sunday will have done her good. Presenting Mahler beat three rivals on testing ground at Sligo in September but has found the company too hot subsequently though 2m7f was stretching her stamina at Wexford. Thanks For Tea was still well in touch when falling at the second last in that Wexford contest but may find this on the short side.
