A maximum field but few with realistic chances. Noel Meade wastes no time sending Pinkerton over hurdles after a convincing victory in a Down Royal bumper last month. He's an obvious candidate though JOHN CANNON's experience may prove just too much for him. A bumper winner on this track, he led at the last and was only headed on the run-in by the smart Banbridge at Punchestown in May so, hopefully, will be ready after a long break. Pale Blue Dot has shown glimpses of ability but needs more while Layla's Daffodil has disappointed since placed at Down Royal in May.
