Verdict

Gusda had an engagement in the 4.15 at Fairyhouse yesterday but if turning out here instead could be given a chance. The very lightly-raced Stay makes his debut over fences and is the type to do well as he ploughed through the testing ground at Tramore on New Year's Day to land a maiden hurdle. Ballyvoile has shown ability against decent rivals and will have no problems with either trip or ground, a remark that certainly applies to NOT A NATIVE. Ronan O'Dwyer's dual point-to-point winner has steadily been getting his act together over regulation fences and his fine second to Mister Farmer on his handicap debut at Punchestown a couple of weeks ago sets the standard here. The Breathalyser, a winner between the flags, may prove best of the remainder on his chasing debut.
