Verdict

Colreevy carries a Grade 1 penalty for her victory in the Faugheen at Limerick where she battled back to beat Pencilfulloflead, who was conceding 7lb. Her path was cleared when the odds-on Asterion Forlonge fell and conceding 7lb to stable companion YUKON LIL won't be easy. The latter followed a comfortable victory over today's rival Scarlet And Dove at Cork with a fine run behind Fils D'oudairies at Navan and the winner ran well behind Envoi Allen at Punchestown on Saturday. Mount Ida was just over four lengths behind the selection at Cork but improved markedly when beating Scarlet And Dove in a Grade 3 there next time so has to be a major threat despite her penalty. Western Victory's two successes over fences have been gained very easily and a likely strong pace will play to her strengths.
