In depth

Verdict

English Deer showed the benefit of his run at Dundalk with a decent effort behind Rapid Approach at Gowran though that was over 7f. Bainne ran quite well in testing conditions at Cork and her experience will stand her in good stead, a remark that also applies to Johnny Lynch, whose three runs last year were all on heavy ground. Red Queen showed promise before a moderate effort on Polytrack while Sandspring ran easily his best race over this trip at Navan when the going was very soft. GREAT MINDS makes a belated debut and may be good enough. By the sprinter Bahamian Bounty, he's out of a mare who was a winning two-year-old from the family of the top sprinter Pipalong.
