Misty's Gift, a dual bumper winner, has had eight starts over timber without winning though he's run some fair races against better opposition than this. WHAT PATH won a Galway bumper last summer and started odds-on for his hurdling debut at Listowel in September but pulled up. Reported to be not right after the race, he's been given plenty of time to recover and can put matters right. Winning point-to-pointer Blackwater Soldier won't have been suited by running in a bumper here a couple of weeks ago and this will be more his game while Rachael Blackmore replaces a conditional rider on board Easy Fella, who found 2m5f too short at Ballinrobe. Present Soldier, a winner between the flags, has been waiting for this sort of trip and represents a major threat.
