Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won the last two with long odds-on chances and WASHINGTON DC should follow suit. He was expected to be the first winner for new stallion Zoffany at Dundalk last week but found 25/1 chance Blood Moon just too tough for him in the closing stages. Nice And Dandy, who finished third, already had a run under her belt and looks held. Ger Lyons, who trained the winner, has Birdcage engaged here so she's one to keep an eye on in the market. Hoppala will be no pushover as he showed real promise in what looked a very strong maiden at the Curragh on Sunday. He stayed on nicely from the rear and will have benefited considerably from the experience.
