In depth

Verdict

Parliament Square suffered a long odds-on defeat on heavy ground at Naas after a fine run at Royal Ascot but bounced back with an easy victory at Fairyhouse last week. That should have done his confidence the world of good but there's no reason why he should get the better of DYLANBARU, runner-up to Cay Verde in a Listed race at the Curragh and in front of Parliament Square in that Ascot event. Tommy Stack's colt gets the vote though the unbeaten pair Blue Bullet and Zoola have to be respected, especially the latter, who sauntered home on her debut over the C&D. Slope has come up against some useful rivals and is no forlorn hope in a tricky little contest.
