Verdict

John Oxx has won two of the three runnings of this so the once-raced Shelford is worth a second glance as he's certain to have benefited from his run at Leopardstown last month. Civil War made a very promising debut behind the long odds-on Offer at Navan with the remainder well beaten off and, with further progress guaranteed, he'll be a threat to all. I HAVE A DREAM was beaten a short-head by Thomasgainsborough at Leopardstown in October and, though his stablemate hasn't hit the heights this season, this son of Galileo should do much better and is taken to make a successful return. Dougal Philps, a very good second to Violet Lashes over 1m2f at Roscommon, will undoubtedly be suited by the step up in trip and can go well.
