In depth

Verdict

Curraheen Chief , Kyper Disco and Heavy Weather look the three to concentrate on in this maiden chase and the vote is given to Curraheen Chief. The selection was a fair second behind Penzance last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and he need only put in a fluent round of fencing to win with a little in hand. Kyper Disco rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Harris Bay but he remains a maiden after 16 attempts and again he looks worth taking on at likely odds. Heavy Weather is another that could go well on his latest fourth behind No Guarantees but all his best form is over a longer trip and he looks opposable on that basis. Of the remainder High Rank would be a danger to all if his jumping holds up but that is a big if while Caveman is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but Curraheen Chief sets a fair standard and he will be hard to beat.
