In depth

Verdict

This drop in distance is unlikely to suit staying-on Hereford third Ballyturn Boy while the others with experience return from a lay-off, though have both hinted at ability. Numerology has a decent Flat pedigree but only cost 1,200gns as a yearling so this can go to fellow newcomer THE FERICK. A £21,000 purchase, Alan Swinbank's five-year-old is from the same family as useful middle-distance performer Top Class and arguably has more scope than any of his rivals.
