In depth

Verdict

A very competitive handicap that is sure to be run at a testing pace. Romero fits the bill as a pacesetter and should take them along at a fair gallop. But he does have a tendency to run out of steam in the latter stages of his races away from his beloved Ascot. Tribal Dancer on the other hand can benefit from a decent early pace and if he can be settled in behind the leaders, he would have a good chance of going close as the race comes to its conclusion. Redde is feared as the biggest danger as he too can draw on energy reserves when he is asked to quicken.
