Verdict

A low grade staying chase where VON GALEN rates a tentative selection in a race where few can be discounted. Michael Scudamore has had a fairly quiet period but this veteran has placed over course-and-distance over a 9lb higher mark in the past. Bynack Mhor was a bitter disappointment last time out and is surely capable of better. Lansdowne Princess got off the mark on her fifteenth chase start so whether she can repeat the dose is another matter. Le Forezien has been something of a flag bearer for his yard whilst Jacarado, would have been a near certainty a few years ago but the jury has to be very much out with him these days.
