Each-way backers are well catered for here today and this is another open-looking contest. Church Field won four times over the summer but recent performances suggest he's in the handicapper's grip now and this may also be a stiff task for four-year-old Thinger Licht. Venetia Williams' stable has found its stride so Market Option, who won at Ludlow in March, is worth a second look. Squire Trelawney may have been let in lightly on his handicap debut while Scales beat a subsequent winner at Ffos Las last month, though is 8lb higher now. Thorseby is 7lb higher than his last success and prefers faster ground but conditions won't bother VALID POINT. He's yet to taste defeat on this stiff track over hurdles and, back in the right grade today, is well worth an interest off this mark.
