In depth

Verdict

Wood Pigeon jumped well to score at Fakenham when Tower Of Allen was one of several who failed to complete. He’s only 3lb higher here so has to be respected but is giving 8lb to SKIPPING ON, who had little to beat here last time but escapes a penalty and is likely to enjoy the extra half-mile. The Bay Birch can race off the same mark as when second at Leicester on her first run for a new yard while Kavanaghs Corner’s fourth at the same course was his best run so far over fences. The Lion Dancer has yet to show anything under Rules.
