Verdict
Basford Ben runs over hurdles for the first time in three years having downed tools in spectacular fashion over fences here last week. Fearsome Fred would have every chance on his second at Taunton two runs ago but Gonnabegood is another who needs forgiving a poor recent effort having been in good form around Exeter earlier. Cheekpieces brought about some improvement in SILENT DOCTOR here last time and Sean Bowen keeps faith with Alan Phillips’ maiden. He probably has more chance of seeing out this trip than Brother Norphin.
