In depth

Verdict

VENDOR won on his UK debut at Newbury and ran a cracker when third to Une Artiste in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham last month. That form looks far superior to his rivals here and Alan King's four-year-old can defy his penalty. It's Oscar may be the one to chase him home as he showed definite signs of ability when fifth over C&D in February. Ballypatrick, on the other hand, was beaten a long way when fourth at January and hasn't raced since.
