Verdict
A bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Moon Phase,Call Me A Legend and King of Castile and the narrow vote is given to Moon Phase. The selection was a fair second behind Autum Harvest on his debut. He looks sure to improve and in what looks an easier race he looks the one to be on. Call Me A Legend rates the main danger as she hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer and this filly by Midnight Legend , half-sister to winners on the Flat and over jumps should be watched in the market. King of Castile is a Hernando gelding, half-brother to numerous winners from 6f-2m4f including top-class Classic Cliche and My Emma but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Of the remainder Simonsvlei hails from a predominantly flat yard and should be watched in the market, while Lake Legend looks the stables second string on jockey bookings and for the winner we return to Moon Phase to small stakes.
