In depth
Verdict
Conditions are right for Jawwala to break her duck over hurdles, and she can do so at the expense of Spinaround and Raygale. The John Jenkins-trained selection has put in her best efforts on soft ground and over this sort of trip. Like all of them here she is a one-pacer, but clearly stays well enough and should keep going up the hill when others have cried enough. Spinaround also handles the ground and has experience around the course and distance when a well beaten fifth on Boxing Day. There was plenty of promise in his handicap second at Hereford in February, but he couldn't cope with a slight step up in class last time out and this will be more his level. He can claim a place. The same goes for Raygale, who has failed to complete on his two latest starts, but goes well with plenty of cut in the ground and shapes like the stayer he will need to be to have any chance of getting home around this track. But for the selection we return to Jawwala.
