In depth

Verdict

Sara's Smile overturned the odds-on American Ladie at Chepstow last month and looks to be on the upgrade. The latter's trainer, Alan King, will be hoping for better luck here with Balerina who has already won at Kempton and Taunton this year. Kaffie won a bumper at Ffos Las before finding Listed company too strong at Sandown and is interesting on her hurdles bow but we'll give another chance to THE STRAWBERRY ONE. Already successful in a bumper at this track, the mare was well backed on her hurdling debut at Lingfield but got no further than the first flight. Her stable remains in terrific form, however, and followers should recoup losses sooner rather than later.
