Verdict
Luminoso is fully exposed but may still prove to be the answer ahead of Fire Ranger, Jaseur and Protocol to name but three. At the age of 12, Luminoso's best days are behind him but recent seconds in this grade at Ludlow and Catterick give cause for encouragement. It is hard to believe that he once won a Listed race in France when trained by Francois Boutin and ridden by Cash Asmussen, but that was 10 years ago. Even so, his form of late shows that he is still keen to race, and we shall give him a chance to turn back the clock here. Fire Ranger was tailed off at Exeter last time, while Jaseur was well down the field at Market Rasen with Protocol ahead of him. Homer was third to Vanormix at Hereford and as that was his best form for some time, he may be worth considering for a place. The most tentative of votes goes to Luminoso.
