If Ferimon stays on his feet then he should make amends, with Sylphide and newcomer Pull Your Socks Up seen as the main dangers. Henry Daly is slowly but surely getting his string into top gear now and should have another winner with Ferimon who, although he would not have beaten A Toi A Moi (runs in the 12:30) at Bangor, was going quite well when falling three out. A bumper winner from the useful Vingis Park on his Huntingdon debut in January, he has plenty of stamina in his make-up and that will stand him in good stead at this stiff course. Sylphide has been confined to the smaller obstacles of late and has bags of experience, but is an out-and-out stayer really who surely will find even this on the short side, despite the climb to the finish. Pull Your Socks Up is yet another new J P McManus inmate who could be anything in time, but the market is our only guide, with no rave reports emanating from Jackdaws Castle. Ferimon can pay to follow.
