Verdict

SHELFORD has won four times over timber but has been well beaten in a couple of Graded races over hurdles recently. Dan Skelton’s charge is a street clear of both of today’s rivals as he makes his chasing bow and a clear round should see him off the mark over fences. Volt Face also goes chasing for the first time and is weighted to beat Captainofindustry, who unseated at Newbury on his first start over the larger obstacles when already beaten.
