In depth

Verdict

Ar Nos Na Gaoithe can follow up her recent success at the expense of Little Venus and Classic Quart. Alison Thorpe continues to enjoy a good spell with her small string, and sent out Ar Nos Na Gaoithe to score at Ludlow 10 days ago. That was only the mare's fifth ever start and only her second over hurdles, so she should have more improvement in her, and as all she does is gallop, this course will suit. The only negative is the ground, as she has yet to race on anything slower than good, but otherwise she has the best claims of all. Little Venus ran some nice races in defeat last term, but is sure to be sharper for the run, as Henry Daly certainly does not rush them, while Classic Quart also returns to the fray and so is best watched. The market should be noted for the rest, including Dandygrey Russett, but Ar Nos Na Gaoithe should be up to defying a penalty in this company.
