In depth

Verdict

Alina Rheinberg can make experience tell over the promising No Directions, with Grenfell best of the remainder. Alina Rheinberg was kept busy on the Flat in Germany this summer and indeed was successful over 10 furlongs. She duly made a winning start to her career in Britain at Hexham despite not looking a natural jumper, and should have learnt enough to take the beating again here. Her main rival No Directions has one thing in her favour-she made a winning debut round here in May, but there were no obstacles in the way then, and she will find this harder on her return. No doubt Brendan Powell will find suitable opportunities for her in time, but she is passed over. Grenfell finished fifth here last December and has a bit of experience, but is another that will strip fitter for the run, while Overthyme was pulled up on her return at Perth last month and cannot be backed with confidence. Alina Rheinberg has obvious claims in a weak affair.
