Verdict
Brandy Butter looks a player making his hurdling debut at a very lowly level, however MY LES has the benefit of a spin around Wetherby and she is fancied to take top honours. Jim Best's filly is related to several winners on the flat and she herself was a winner at Brighton in October. She was impressive when winning that selling race and she didn't make a bad start to hurdling when third at Wetherby. She stumbled two out which halted her momentum somewhat but barring jumping errors she looks sure to run well. Brandy Butter was rated in the 50's on the flat and this David Pipe-trained gelding must be of interest. He wears the visor that he sported on the flat and the market may help point to whether connections feel he can get back ¿2277 of the ¿6000 he cost at the horses in training sales. Flash Of Fire was a similar level on the flat and drops in grade today after being soundly held on two hurdling efforts, Monaadi tries blinkers, whilst Rock Peak was one of the best of these on the flat on official ratings but hasn't convinced over hurdles. Space Pirate's form figures are misleading as he was badly hampered by a faller last time out and was pulled up shortly after, whilst Phoenix Enforcer drops in grade and represents shrewd connections. She was decent enough on the level and looks a player, however we are happy to side with My Les to prevail.
