Verdict
Master Overseer has been in good form between the flags since his last outing on the racetrack and must be considered, however WIDE RECEIVER won well here last time and is fancied to win again. Interestingly a tongue-tie is added to the selection's aids, however this son of Taipan made a pleasing impression when winning here earlier this month. That was back from a summer break and it was also his first try over fences, so there is certainly reason to think that there may be more improvement to come. Sarobar has a little to prove on this ground and he also has a 3lb rise in the weights for a recent third at Southwell which looks very harsh. Stockton Flyer seems to be improving for each start after his summer break, Arceye is a course specialist but has loads to find with the selection on their run here earlier this month, whilst The Walnut Tree has a 5lb rise in the weights for his Hereford win last time out. Kiltimoney stays well and put in his best effort for some time at Chepstow last time out; despite a 4lb rise in the weights he still looks very well-treated. Master Overseer's confidence will have been boosted of late, however he has plenty of weight to shoulder in soft ground and of more interest then may be Woodlands Genpower who looks fairly treated and ahs his ideal conditions. Extra Smooth has been off for a while and has evidently had plenty of training problems; he is potentially well-treated but is not one for total confidence. An interesting handicap chase then, in which we will plump for Wide Receiver.
