Verdict

The vote here goes to Hi Fi ahead of Tosawi, College City and Brigadier du Bois. It is time for the selection to finally score after threatening to do so for a while now. The shorter trip at this stiffer track might help the cause today. Based on his third behind Stanway and Oulton Broad (who runs earlier on the card), he would have a chance anyway and, as we say, we will give him one more chance. The handicapper has now dropped Tosawi to a mark of 94 but, with this one having been placed this year from a 10-pound higher mark, he has to be seriously considered. College City's mark is fair and makes him competitive, while Brigadier du Bois has been placed in five of his last seven races so can be on the premises again, particularly on this less-demanding going. Finally, Multeen Gunner has run well in Ireland from today's mark, so could be considered, but, from out of the weights, Terrible Tenant is hard to strongly fancy. This spins us back to the selection, which is Hi Fi.
