Verdict

THE HON TARA shaped well on heavy ground on debut and Charlie Longsdon's mare can land this finale at the main expense of Wizaller and Bach Street Girl. The selection has been given a break since finishing fourth to Fairview Sue at Southwell. She should relish this testing track this afternoon and is fancied to come out on top. Wizaller shaped well when a 16/1 chance on debut at Fontwell and the feeling is that this longer trip should suit, whilst Lady Soughton has more experience with three runs under her belt but her form is unremarkable and she probably needs to improve. Forty Knights ran in a good race on her debut, whilst former point-to-point winner Bach Street Girl ran well around the a tight Catterick track last time out and looks sure to improve now faced with a bigger test of stamina. Inkberrow Rose didn't seem to go forward from first to second outings here and, whilst the market may provide some useful clues, the feeling is that The Hon Tara, with a first-time tongue-tie on, can get off the mark.
