Verdict

This is another competitive affair in which we will side with ARCEYE to defy a seven pound penalty, while both Sea Wall and Fruitfull Citizen are worth noting. The selection won four times last season and gained a hat-trick of wins at Chepstow and over course and distance gaining himself a career high mark of 102. His form thereafter dwindled and he dropped to a mark of 77 when scoring at this venue once more last time out. He is more than capable of winning with his penalty as he has proved in the past and if he recaptures his form he can win again at a track that he clearly loves. Sea Wall ran right back to his best when second to Dennis The Legend at Exeter last time out. His form had been disappointing since winning at Hereford last June so his latest run was encouraging and any market moves should be noted. Fruitfull Citizen gained plenty of success in point to points last season and was back in the winners enclosure over course and distance in a Hunters Chase last time out. This race does look more competitive and improvement will be needed. Running off a potential lenient mark Arceye is the form pick to win again.
