Verdict

DRAMATIC SOLO is fancied here in preference to Jane Of Arc and Border Tale. Karl Burke's gelding has to give at least 8lb to all of his rivals but the four-year-old is undoubtedly the best in this line-up. His recent efforts in the blinkers have not been too bad, especially his latest fourth at Newmarket and it would be a surprise were he not to record his third career win. Always Best has been in action over the sticks recently but has failed to shine, whilst Border Tale ran well in defeat last time at Newcastle and that run a fortnight ago was a bounce back to form for this fair dual-purpose runner. Jane Of Arc is a course winner and Jim Goldie's runner is considered a big danger if repeating his win here over a shorter trip in September, but it is Dramatic Solo who can call the tune.
