Verdict

Killeen Elegance was gaining her first success in 17 career starts when accounting for today's rival Admiral Bob at Downpatrick. She was wearing first-time blinkers that day and if they work again she should take care of the runner-up despite the revised terms. One Fine Morning, who was third and had every chance, also looks held but Paudi The Punter, who eventually finished sixth, was in contention when making a bad mistake at the second last. ISLAND PEAK (NAP) had Killeen Elegance ten lengths behind when runner-up to Old Supporter, who won next time, over this course and distance in August and was racing over a trip too short on his latest start so he looks the one to be on.
