In depth

Verdict

UNCLE JUNIOR comes out clear top on official ratings and looks another for Willie Mullins. A winning bumper and hurdler, he gained his first success over fences when comfortably accounting for today's rival Baizically at Gowran. The runner-up, who was having his first start over fences that day, has since paid a return visit and landed a beginners chase so the form looks useful. In receipt of 8lb, Politeo looks a real threat as he made a sparkling chasing debut at Limerick and has more scope than anything else in the race. Changing Course has won just once from 24 starts over the bigger obstacles though he has generally competed at a high level.
