Verdict

Dave And Bernie showed major improvement at Kilbeggan and was second here on Friday with Cloak Of Darkness fourth - he would be interesting if turned out again. The mare Dysart Diamond battled on gamely to land a Limerick bumper and looks certain to do well over hurdles judging by her pedigree. SANTANA PLESSIS keeps finding one too good but was in the lead at this trip when failing to concede 10lb to Thousand Stars over 2m4f at Kilbeggan and can finally get off the mark. Spiorad Saoirse, three-times a winner on the Flat, was up with the pace for a long way on his hurdles debut at Gowran and will have come on for the experience while Albuquerque won over 7f on the latter track in 2018 for Aidan O'Brien and has only had one subsequent start.
