Golden Alchemist got off the mark over hurdles las ttime and can repeat the dose now full of confidence, with other recent winners Osprey View, Bold Trump and Wheelavit others for the short list here. The selection took a similar Huntingdon contest on fast ground last time, enjoying a decisive victory on that occasion and the form looks good in the context of this race. We can forgive his subsequent defeat on the level and there is no reason to think he can't reproduce his winning form with confidence high. Bold Trump is a c&d winner who has to give the selection 2lb here. That c&d success came last time out in a seller and it will not be easy to follow up in this company. Wheelavit may be a better proposition. Brendan Powell's runner scored at Newton Abbot last time when he was another to break his maiden tag and he can't be discounted on ground that will suit. Of the remainder Osprey View has been improving and will try to back up a Worcester novices' win from last time and with A P McCoy on board he won't be much in the way of value, so we take him on with Golden Alchemist.
