Verdict
Saby and Manoram look to have this between them and we will stick with the former to land the spoils. Phillip Hobbs' charge is nothing spectacular in truth but he is at least able and more importantly has demonstrated that he is willing to battle when push comes to shove. Gabla was rated in three figures over hurdles but would probably not want any overnight rain. Saspy's Lad was decent over hurdles although he has tended to clout the odd fence or two on the way. The remainder have little in the formbook to suggest that they will be taking a hand in this. Saby is duly selected to land the Novices' Chase.
