Verdict

Court Royale won at Stratford before a bad mistake stopped him in his tracks at Cartmel in August. Significant rain would play to the strengths of Wenceslaus but wouldn’t suit Purple King. Statuario finished a close second here on his chasing bow but the handicapper has taken no chances. DESTINED TO SHINE found his form at the end of last season and won here in February. It looks like he is going to get his ground on his reappearance and there is a chance that recent wind surgery will see him do even better this term.
