        Verdict

        The market should be closely monitored in division two of the bumper, but we shall rely on the experience of Nevada Red over the potential of Ben's Turn and Felix The Fox. Ginger McCain's bumper runners generally acquit themselves well and Nevada Red shaped well enough on his Ludlow debut to warrant an interest here. Held up at the back, he came through the heavy ground to lead three furlongs out, but in the end had to settle for second best behind the favourite My Skipper. With that behind him, the son of Classic Cliche should make the necessary improvement to score under today's conditions. The New Zealand-bred Felix The Fox is sure to know his job but like the Saddler's Hall filly Ben's Turn, is difficult to assess without any public knowledge. Either could turn out to be smart, but there is no reason why Nevada Red should not run a big race, and so we stay loyal to him.
