Verdict
This is a competitive novices' hurdle in which Red Ruffles, Hi Fi, Lustral du Seuil and Debbie look to be the main protagonists and we will make Debbie the tentative selection. The selection escapes a penalty for her recent win at Wetherby, and as she was eased down before scoring on that day she may be capable of winning here at a decent price. Red Ruffles hails from the Noel Chance yard and showed a good level of form last season, but he is not the speediest and he may struggle a little here now that he is dropped slightly in trip. Hi Fi was well beaten in a handicap last time but the suspicion is that he is slightly better over shorter, while Lustral Du Seuil would be capable of going close if he could reproduce his best form, but he has been well below that level of late. This is not an easy race to call, but for the winner we return to Debbie.
