Verdict

The next race on the card is a novice chase and hopefully MASKED MAN can defy his penalty and go in ahead of Busy Times and Tisfreetodream. The Alan King horse has to give weight all round but he looks to be on the up. He has won his last two starts hard held and looks a real progressive type on quick ground. The horse who may give him most to think about is the John Spearing trained Busy Times. His trainer has a cracking strike rate at this track with 26% of his horses winning. The former Irish pointer has been acquitting himself well over hurdles and the return to fences may bring out some further improvement. Denis O'Regan is an eye catching jockey booking so expect a big run from this lad. Tisfreetodream looks to have hit his peak. He was a disappointing favourite on his latest start and this quicker ground won't aid his chances. His ability may see him into a place. Lord Larrson and Benny The Piler are others to note but Masked Man scraps the nod ahead of Busy Times.
