Verdict

A winner of four of his 17 stars over hurdles, there is enough in BUTLER BRIEF’s pedigree to suggest he’ll handle the switch to fences. He is rated 8lb higher over timber than likely market rival Morgenstern yet is only conceding 5lb here with the Pipe runner penalised for a second success over the larger obstacles at Newton Abbot. Decoration Of War has won over hurdles and on the all-weather and wasn’t entirely disgraced on chasing debut at Bangor while Aviewtosea has placed in a point, though has been out of sorts lately.
