Verdict
Whaleef, Glengarra, All Rock Hard, and Just Midas look the ones to concentrate on in this novices handicap chase and the tentative vote goes to Whaleef. The selection has conditions to suit and a reproduction of his latest second behind Meltonian would make him hard to beat. Glengarra rates the main danger on his latest third behind Deep King. He gives the impression the drop to the minimum trip should suit and he is a danger to all. All Rock Hard was second behind stable companion Why The Big Paws last time and he was clear of the third but this looks more competitive and for that reason he is opposed. Just Midas could only win sellers over hurdles and their is a suspicion that he may find this to competitive. Of the remainder Montebank is from a yard in form and is worth a cautionary look in the market but for the winner we return to Whaleef.
