      Verdict

Though a 23-race maiden on the Flat is Ireland, Machiavelli should do better over hurdles and is an interesting recruit for Philip Kirby. Nocte Volatus is jumps bred and should find or race of two under the expert tutelage of Tom Lacey but this is all about BULLIONAIRE (NAP), who was a staying-on third behind Sporting John at Exeter last time in a race that could hardly have worked out any better. Nautical Star ran well for a long way on his racecourse debut at Chepstow and will know more today.
