In depth

Verdict

Though Notwhatiam is eased in grade again, those near the head of the weights in a modest first division of this handicap should dominate. Chief Brody has switched stables and has a poor strike-rate but can’t be ruled out. Phoebus Lescribaa is also having a first run for a new yard and hasn’t seen action for more than a year so this is best left to MAGELLAN. A three-times winner on the all-weather, he should be ready to strike over timber after a couple of recent runs. Carpool lost her way at the start of the year but she was placed three times on similar going last summer so is not without hope.
