Verdict

DUTCH CANYON, on the hat-trick after delivering a resolute performance to score at Cartmel, should remain competitive on the back of a 4lb rise in the ratings. He jumped particularly well that day, will appreciate this slightly shorter trip and will presumably aim to run the finish out of his rivals once again. Next Lot is fascinating off this mark on chasing debut but does have a point-to-point win on his CV and could prove a handicap blot if enjoying his new discipline. Home Place isn't overly easy to catch right but has ability and Karl Thornton is to be noted when raiding from Ireland. Unchago is another Irish raider to note with Tom O'Brien booked.
