      In depth

      Verdict

Bak To Bill can make the most of his light weight to account for All right Now M'lad, Just Beth and Victom's Chance to name but three. Bak To Bill showed dramatic improvement to score at Exeter 11 days ago, always going well for Lucy Gardner before holding Il'Athough on the run to the line. Since being switched back to hurdles his handicap mark has dropped steadily, and now that he as regained the winning thread, a move back up the ratings should not stop him going close with ground conditions very much in his favour. He has won here before as well, albeit over fences, and in receipt of well over stone from All right Now M'Lad, he should make the latter pull out all the stops. Jonjo O'Neill's charge was entered for the Coral Cup but has been re-routed here, and there is no doubting the fact that he is a progressive sort judged on back-to-back wins at Plumpton, but an 11lb rise gives him plenty to carry in the ground and he can be taken on. Just Beth is consistent and was well in front of Mouseski when second here last time so can be given a chance of making the frame again at least, while Victom's Chance was not beaten too far by the useful Dom D'Orgeval in similar conditions here last month so is worth a mention. However, Bak To Bill will practically be running loose off his weight and with his pilot taking a further seven-pounds off his back, he is the pick of the bunch.
