Verdict

The well-handicapped Very First Time has switched from Tim Easterby to Dan Skelton and it will be a surprise if his new yard can’t find a race for him. Sackett won at Cartmel last month but was surprisingly beaten at Fontwell two weeks ago. Day Of Roses won over 2m7f here last time and stays this longer trip while Sporting Boy made all over hurdles at Stratford nine days ago and can race off the same mark back over fences. River Of Intrigue has rediscovered his form since joining John O’Shea but MAX DO BRAZIL made a smooth transition to fences at Fakenham and looks capable of holding his own in this better company.
